Christmas Presents

It is never too early for Christmas!  I attended a Christmas craft exchange but I am not a very crafty person so I made cakes instead.  I had to bring nine cakes so I made three different designs.  Since it was a Christmas party I thought some gifts would be appropriate :).  I loved the real ribbon and bows and everyone loved the personalized gift tags.

Harry Potter Party!

My daughter, Olivia turned 9 the end of September and she was so excited to have a Harry Potter party!  She dressed up as Hermione, we also had Prof McGonogall and Luna Lovegood and of course Harry.  We had fun making snitches and candy filled quills but she was super excited about her cake and it was fun making it for her :).
The spider, ink well and wand were fun touches!

She loved how I added Happy Birthday Olivia!

Happy Birthday!

Rainbows

We have been blessed to have lots of family and friends come visit us this summer in our new home!  My sister-in-law and her sweet family are visiting now and their cute little soon-to-be 7 year old daughter, Lillian is going to have a birthday in the next few days while traveling.  So I thought it would be fun to give her a cute cake during their stay :).  We are headed to Lake Michigan so she said she wanted something with the beach, here is the cake I thought would suit a fun little 7 year old girl!

Graduation

I am excited to post my first blog!  A big thank you to a sweet friend who helped me set this all up, I could not have done it without her!!!  So here is my latest cake, a graduation cake for a sweet girl graduating from high school and who has a very bright future :)!  It was my privilege to create her graduation cakes.  The cake with her name was lemon with butter cream frosting with a frosting filling.  The cake with the graduation cap was red velvet with cream cheese frosting, also with a frosting filling.  I made several cakes for my family and friends to taste test since red velvet can be so tricky.  I heard Miriam was happy with the cake so the taste tests were successful :)!  Congratulations Miriam!
